I tried the 30 day cleanse challenge!
I made it through doTERRA's 30 day cleanse challenge. I wasn't sure I was going to make it, but I did!
In my previous post I shared that my husband had been sick and was trying a cleanse. While he has been going through that cleanse I reluctantly decided to give in to my mom's suggestion to go through the 30 day doTERRA cleanse. I am a teacher so I have a few weeks in which a bathroom is accessible if needed, and I do want to get healthier so I gave it a go. Oh, and I also gave up my daily coffee at the same time. 😮 She suggested I buy the daily habits kit along with a bottle of Zendocrine softgels and DDR Prime Softgels. I went ahead and joined by buying the kit (joining lowers the cost so why not?) and after hesitating for a few days started the cleanse.
The first 10 days wasn't so bad, although the Zendocrine softgels gave me heartburn. My mom suggested putting them in the fridge and after I tried that, no more heartburn! Yay! It was annoying having to take 8 pills twice a day, but there is so many good things in them. I pushed through. I am not much of a veggie eater so I'm sure my body was loving those capsules.
The second 10 days was not fun at all! For this stage I swapped out the zendocrine for GX Assist. This is supposed to "create an unfriendly environment for potential threats that can disrupt digestive immunities and cause digestive upset." It definitely created an unfriendly environment. I spent a couple of nights in pain in the bathroom. I guess my body really needed this phase. I forced myself to push through.
The last 10 days GX Assist was out and PB Assist was in. I had to take 3 of these each night. That meant 8 pills in the morning, and 11 at night. That's a lot of pills! Today was the last day. I must say I feel a lot better. I think I'm going to continue taking the vitamins as I work to get healthier. I might even clean off the treadmill! Maybe. 🤔
I have continued to use lemon oil and vinegar to do a lot of cleaning around the house and am so amazed that something so simple does such a great job. I plan to phase out all the chemicals in my house over the next few months. What do you use essential oils for?
